For weeks, ICU capacity has been close to or over capacity at Larimer County hospitals. They're overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients. So, beginning tomorrow at noon (10/20), face coverings will be required in all public spaces regardless of vaccination status. According to the Coloradan, the mask mandate will last until these metrics are met for 21 consecutive days:
Fewer than 65 COVID-19 patients in Larimer hospitals
ICU utilization is at less than 90% of usual and customary levels
The county's seven-day case rate per 100,000 residents is smaller than 300
The county's seven-day test positivity rate is less than 10%.
