A man in Grand Junction petitioned to change the name of their minor league Rockies affiliate to make it more unique to the area. Unfortunately the team wanted nothing to do with it. The proposed new mascot was the Humpback Chub - an endangered fish native to the Colorado River. Not only did the team not like the name, they were enraged that anyone would even SUGGEST such a thing!
