It's not often you hear about someone who's a blacksmith these days, but Weston Paas is taking his talents out of his shop in Colorado Springs and onto network television. Tonight Weston will be one of the Blacksmiths competing for a chance at $10K on History Channel's hit show "Forged In Fire." Due to the legal constraints, Paas couldn't inform anyone he was even going to be on the show until last week but the episode he filmed back in August will air tonight at 7pm. Paas isn’t the only Coloradan to be on the show, let alone only person from southern Coloradan. In November, Ron and Jessica Hardman of Kilroy’s Workshop, which is the largest blacksmithing and bladesmithing school in the United States, were featured and actually helped Weston train for the episode he is on. Hopefully those talents come in to play tonight and we get to find out if he makes it big.
Paas owns Hearts Fire Forge and specializes in various metal work and custom knives in Colorado if you'd like to see his work in person.
