Denver Mayor Wants Pot Tax To Go To Affordable Housing

If you like to indulge in Colorado's Greenery, it could be costing you some more green soon. Denver Mayor Hancock is proposing a new bill that would increase the sales tax on marijuana and the extra funding would go to affordable housing. 

It's not a bad idea when you think about it. Colorado (Denver especially) has an incredibly expensive and tough housing market, but also billions in pot tax revenue since Amendment 64 was passed in 2012.
