Chris Maunu has been named for a Grammy Award for the second time in his career. The Arvada West High School teacher is among the top 10 nominees from across the nation that are competing for the prestigious award. This itself is a huge honor itself as there was over 3,300 original nominees. Chris was up for the award two years ago, and lost, which just made his students feel like he deserved a second shot.
The student that nominated him, Aryanna Kemler, had this to say in an interview with CBS Denver: “He has brought so much joy and happiness, he has helped me through so many of my hard times. He just encourages me every day to become a better version of my life.”
