Colorado State University in Pueblo will now offer a unique Bachelor's Degree program - Cannabis Biology and Chemistry. The Colorado Department of Higher Education made the announcement on Facebook this past Friday and stated it was one of the first such programs in the country.
Students will have two options on how they want to study cannabis which includes a natural products track focused on biology, or an analytical track that focuses on chemistry. "The new major is a pro-active response to a rapidly changing national scene regarding the cannabis plant," a proposal for the program by CSU-Pueblo officials says.
