CDC Lifts Most Indoor Mask Restrictions For Those Fully Vaccinated

The CDC announced earlier today that in most situations, people who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask or stay 6-feet away from others. They still recommend wearing a mask in health care settings and crowded indoor areas like airplanes. They also updated their outdoor restrictions, saying that those who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask, even in crowded areas.

People who are not vaccinated are still required to wear a mask indoors.

According to CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky:

“Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing. If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic. We have all longed for this moment, when we can get back to some sense of normalcy.”

Children 12+ are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Read more here.
